    Hi All,
Something has changed since I installed Firefox 2.0. To illustrate the problem let me walk you through the steps.

    1. Open Firefox 2.0
    2. From Bookmarks, open WindowsBBS.com
    3. Open Netscape and Mozilla
    4. Open "Cookie file not opening" http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=59896
    5. Move down to #9 and click on the line "free version," a Zone Alarm screen
    opens
    6. Close the Zone Alarm screen by clicking the "X" in the upper right corner

normally at this point I would be taken back to the previous screen, one which has a green Back arrow. Now I'm taken back to the Desktop and must open Firefox again.

This situation occurs with other forums and other links. Does anyone have a suggestion on a change to get me back to the the way Firefox worked in the past.

    derfsch,

Go to this setting: Tools | Options | Tabs

Have you selected whether or not you want links to open in a new TAB, or a new WINDOW. My personal preference is a new TAB, so I can move back and forth between the two sites.

PeteC: I rarely, if ever, use IE. Now you know how Ramona reacts to that browser and I want to stay in her good graces.

Ramona: I do not use tabs so when the Options screen opened (your advice) under "New pages should be opened in" I saw that I had "a new tab" activated. When I changed this to "a new window" I got the response that I desired, i.e., the green Back arrow which kept me in the forum and did not snd me back to the desktop. Thank you for your help.
