This is not an Earth shattering thing, but I hope someone can answer my queastion....I use Mozilla Firefox as my primary browser. Firefox has a feature whereby if you press the Control + keys, it will magnify the lettering making it easier for my old glaucoma eyes to read text easier on web sites. Problem is, I have to do this manually everytime I bring up the browser. Is there a way to make Firefox remember this magnified setting when it shuts down, so the next time it just come up magnified?

    dmk1941,

You can increase the font size permanently here:

    Tools | Options | Content

Under "Fonts & Colors" select your Font and Font Size

    Next:
Click on the "Advanced Tab "

    Again, set the font size
Set the Monospace size smaller, e.g., if font size is 22, set Monospace size at 18
Then set the minimum size at a size you can comfortably read, but smaller than the default size of 22, which you just set.

Ensure that this setting is disabled:
"Allow pages to choose their own fonts instead of my selections above. "

    In addition,
one can set the Font size anywhere in the Windows toolbars, via Start|All Programs|Accessories|Accessibility|Accessibility wizard, but, but it is necessary to specify the font size for web surfing, as Ramona has described.
I don't know what the Magnifier, in the same path does.
I stumbled into this when, I accidentally, messed up the width of my Windows toolbar (the one with the X). I found out how to make the text larger, but, have been unable to return to my original conditions.

    Thanks

Thanks Ramona & Westside. Your info was a big help. I think I have it tweaked to my satisfaction...
