In the Firefox File options, they have a "send link" only and in other browsers the "send page" is an included option. Has it already been done or can this be added without a great deal of trouble?
This is an important feature for me, and probably many others also. Thanks

I am using Mozilla1.7.12, and Send Page does not send the page, but rather the link. The only difference is that Send page will include an attachment. All programs will send the link, and one may as well use that. I suppose that Send Page will open the page in mail, if viewed inline.
The difference is due to the fact that Mozilla or Netscape are Suites, i.e. have both Mail and Browser. Firefox is browser only, and, just as Thunderbird as mail client. IE gives you option of sending the page or the link by e-mail. These options do not exist in Firefox, and, frankly, it does not matter, but clicking on the link will open the page. I think that it is mainly a matter of habit.

I was using NS 7+ for a few years and it allowed me to send the complete page rather than just the link. I found that after some time, the page could not be found via link only, so I then started sending the complete page and keep it for future reference. If I just saved the page only to the HD, it would not include the URL address...just what I got used to. Any suggestions? Thnaks.

    Rob,
I never implied that you should save the page on the HD. Just to use the Send Link. I did a test sending the thread which you posted. I has a URL:http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=49549.
When I use the Send Link, I get the same URL, and when I click on it I get, exactly the same page. That's why I don't see the necessity of sending an entire page, when you can send a link which will open the same page.
It seems redundant to have two things which accomplish the same thing.
The main difference is that NS7.x or Mozilla send the link as well as an attachment, which is downloadable on the HD. Is that what you need?
