Does anyone use Firefox (or SeaMonkey) with the NoScript extension? If so, what value is it as an extension & is it recommended?

I use both. Wouldn't be without it.

When you go to a web page, no scripts are allowed to run except the ones you O.K.

OK thanks, I've just installed NoScript on Firefox. It seems fairly straightforward to use. I tend to use K-Meleon as a browser more than Firefox though & I have the Privacy Bar enabled in KM so I have some control over Java/JavaScript (I customised it slightly by commenting out some of the buttons in Tools - Config as I would sometimes accidentally hit the 'Clear All' button instead of 'Kill Flash'). I do tend to download things in Firefox however as it virus-scans on download & has a good download manager. So it is an extra layer of security for Firefox.

However, I have been re-thinking about using NoScript since I read this blog & had a look at this discussion. There is a NoScript extension available for K-Meleon but I think that I will stick with its Privacy Bar.
