When Firefox had updated to look more like Chrome, I started to get used to it, as Firefox was my main browser. A couple weeks later, whenever I would open Firefox, it would lag like CRAZY! No matter which site I went to, it would be a lag-fest. It's still like this, up to today. I miss Firefox, tbh, but I can't use it. It's broken for me. I want to fix it.

Any ideas how to fix Firefox?

Do you have the same problem using FF's Safe Mode? It sounds like a profile problem to me.

No. The problem does not happen in Safe Mode. I can't use Firefox in Safe Mode though, since it disables add-ons. I need AdBlock in order to not get redirects from ads on deviantArt.

I suggest that you disable all of your extensions, then re-enable them one at a time (beginning with AdBlock, of course) until you find the one causing your problem. I have 26 extensions installed (but not AdBlock), and I don't experience the problem you're having.

The thing is, the problem occurred before I got Ad-block, and that's my only addon on Firefox. I got Ad-block to prevent the lagging, as I thought it was from adverts, but it didn't help.

    If in doubt - uninstall & re-install.

Pete beat me to it.:) I was typing that suggestion when his message appeared.

You don't say what OS you have installed, and whether it's 32 or 64 bit. Adding your system specs would be helpful. If you're using Windows 7, it has Internet Explorer 10 built in. Does the problem occur using IE?

Hi Decapo, What you have posted is Firefoxes Help which the user can access straight up rather than go through another source. Neil.
