After a few weeks, I have a couple of issues with Firefox, one is problematic, the other somewhat perplexing....

The first issue, "problematic ", is the reason that I am (and have been) posting here and not on the Mozilla forum - it seems that every time I attempt to post or even search there or look at search results, I get no timely response, just hangs up forever (well for a looong time). Same problem with the "knowledgbase ", making that resource very un-usable. So here I am, very relieved that you are so knowledgeable and available to help out - just an explanation, I am aware of the server problems...

The second, "perplexing ", and the real issue of this post is regarding cookie management in Firefox. Previous to firefox, I had been using "cookiewall" to handle cookies and was quite happy with it, but it does not intercept cookies with Firefox. I did peruse the Firefox cookie "manager" under options and found it to be much less desirable in many ways than cookiewall. So, I am wondering if there is a way to alter firefox such that it does not intercept cookies, or more accurately is there some way to allow cookiewall to handle the interception of cookies? Or, is there some other atlernative?

Firefox is Mozilla Firefox, so you are ok here. There are so many good newsgroups and not so good FAQs. I reall don't know which group you are referring to.
You are referring to "cookiewall ". I never heard of it. I must a third party app.
If it is the one from AnalogX, it says: CookieWall is currently only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer or derived versions (such as NeoPlanet).
You say previous to Firefox. With what?
Anyway I have used AnalogX programs, and I found them to be unbelievably slow in updating.
If I interpreted correctly, what you said , I am perplexed at you being perplexed.
I would tend to think that an external program would adjust, rather than the other way around.

    answer: With IE based browsers...

Perhaps "perplexed" was a somewhat innacurrate description. It's just that cookiewall was easier to use, and as suspected, sounds like I will just have to become accustomed to the differences...
