For several months now, comcast has had a new e-mail program.
provided by a company called "SmartZone ". No impressed with them.

Of course there was some problems. One problem is that in-line pictures
would not show. We would just see the small red "X" within the picture
frame and no picture. Last night (Apr 30) my friend sent some jpg's
inbedded within a message. It dosent matter what type of pictures, none
of them show. I didnt see any jpgs but text was there.
This AM, I tried IE at the computer club and: Yep, jpgs were viewable.

So, question is, is this a problem with firefox or a new setting within
firefox? I've been through several releases of firefox and see no changes
    about viewing imbedded jpgs.

    thanks,
    savagcl

I did a Search for Smart Zone & Firefox, and came up with a lot of problem links. This is one of them. Are you with Comcast?

    Westside,

    Yes, I'm on comcast.
They have had problems with their e-mail programs ever since they went to
a third-party contractor... Lots of complaints, mostly about operations and
in-line pictures. At least 2 months maybe 3 and no firm resolution yet.
Some of their forum experts dont even know there is a problem. Best we
got so far is "they are working on it ".

Maybe they just want everyone to use the attachment feature and are
waiting for the complaints to go away....

    Who knows.

    thanks,
    savagcl

    Hi savagcl,

Just for kicks, how about opening a gmail account and have your friend send his post to that account and see if there's still the same problem.

    Any joy?
