Yesterday everything fine. Today ugh! Firefox and Chrome won't connect but IE and Edge do. Chrome shows "No Internet Connection" error message but the Internet Connection is active. Firefox just show blank page. Wont load anything. OS is Win10.

More info needed, Firewall, AV program, other security programs that may be blocking things. I don't use Chrome so I can give no help there but Firefox is my default browser.
Try opening Firefox in Safe Mode, that is Firefox Safe Mode NOT computer safe mode. Go to Help, Restart with Add-ons Disabled. You'll be asked if you are sure, say yes. Browser will open with all add-ons disabled. If it allows you to surf normally then problem lies with an add-on and you'll have to determine which one that might be.
    Alsoheck your settings in Firefox;
Connection settings in Firefox | Firefox Help

Firewall and AV is Bitdefender. Other security is Malwarebytes. Tried starting in Safe Mode, didn't help. In checking proxy setting it is set to CPU configuration. Still not working.

Reboot the Modem/Router and see what happens.

Unless you are using a Proxy the correct setting is No Proxy.

Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can | Firefox Help

Hi joe645, After the Modem/Router Reboot suggested by MrBill if you still can't connect Chrome or Firefox, go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network troubleshooter.
This should help in narrowing down your problem.

I find the Windows Troubleshooter a useless piece of software. It routinely says can't identify the problem.

If I had a Network problem why does Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge work?

Generally not, but you do need to check and see. Go to IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections Tab, LAN Settings Tab. If you use a Proxy then it will say so there but it is likely you do not and there will be a check mark in the box that says Automatically Detect Settings.

If you run the Network Troubleshooter as suggested earlier that may give you an answer. That is NOT Windows Troubleshooter, it is Network Troubleshooter, entirely different than Windows Trouble shooter.

    Check this:
Windows key, Settings, Network & Internet, Proxy and make absolutely sure that Proxy is turned OFF.

This may be worth trying but don't forget to shut down and reboot your comp after changes!

Thanks, tried it but no change. I would think if I had a problem in that area, neither IE or Edge would work also. That is the strange part of this. Both these browsers work but Chrome and Firefox do not. When I boot Firefox, I can change the option for the Home Page to various bookmarked pages but it will not connect to internet.

Have you run malware and anti-virus scans? This can also be a cause of things like this.
Detect Settings should be ON, not off. Nobody told you to turn that off also. Detect Settings should be ON.
Have you checked the settings of your Firewall and AV program to be 100% certain that neither of them is blocking these two browsers? Firefox and Chrome must be listed as trusted programs. You should make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date and remove Firefox and Chrome from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add them back.
