    Hi

I thought I followed instructions posted elsewhere on how to install 3.0 with a new profile. I did something wrong. under profiles, I show default and cybertek2 and now I added cypertek3 for FF3.

When I click FF icon FF3 opens up and I do not have a choice of selecting to use FF2. I have not uninstalled it but I only have one FF icon.

At any rate, I want to delete the old profiles if this is safe. Or is it because of the original profile that I have my FF3 running the way FF2 use to with all my bookmarks and add-ons.

I am lost so any help to confirm that I am OK or not will be appreciated.

    Ann,

I'm not one of the regulars but, it appears they are not up yet from taking their Sunday afternoon nap. heeheehee:............

Meanwhile, I see you have been registered to this forum since 2002 so I would think you know a lot but, then since I don't know what you know. Let me suggest that you RIGHT Click on the FF Desktop Icon, Select Properties in the window that pops up and then add to the load command line after firefox.exe a space and then -profilemanager as shown here:.... http://www.raysmyth.net/ff-01.jpg

Be careful to not knock out the current path command when adding the "-profile manager" part. In case that happens, Click on CANCEL and start over.

Adding the command line parameter of " -profilemanager" causes the Firefox Profile Manager to open when you click on the FF Icon and the Profile Manager should reflect all current FF Profiles.

A word of cautions if you delete the old profiles.

When deleting Profiles, FF will ask about deleting ALL the files. DO NOT choose ALL files because FF will most often delete all the other profiles depending on the Profile and the associated files location.

The normal or default path command to the folders stowing the Firefox Profiles is shown here:... http://www.raysmyth.net/ff-02.jpg

    Good Luck, Ray
