Firefox 3.6 available for download

Thanks for the update - Just installed - As usual, no real problems.
BUT ....
Their may be an issue if you use "Personas" for tool bar skinning. I not sure, but it appears if you are running a "Custom Theme" (example, I use "LittleFox" - very compact) "Personas" will not skin "LittleFox" theme. It forces a browser restart and loads FF default theme using your favorite Personas flavor. For myself this is no issue, I will stay with my preferred compact theme. Now my daughter, this could be a problem ... pretty colors/designs or functional, compact toolbar.... hmmm??
Will try to find some facts at Mozilla.org for what our choices are per Themes / Personas being on the same page.

 

Not sure about this. I started using Personas only with the late 3.6 nightlies, as there was no compatible and satisfactory Theme. So, I never had a working Theme for 3.6. Now, I am using the same Profile for the 3.7 nightly variety, and, everything remained the same.
As for the final version, I am not ready to update the normal Firefox, but I updated the Portable Firefox to 3.6. Of course, with that my Theme (Chromifax) became incompatible.
I had such a hard time finding a good Persona that I opted to the possibly dangerous way to force an update/use, by means of the Nightly Tester Tools addon. So, I have, for now the same old Theme in 3.6 Portable, which is in my hard drive as well as my Thumb stick.
Let me know if there is a way to combine Personas and Themes. I, personally, doubt it.
As for Personas, I want one which does not present dark areas, so that reading the names is not a chore. I found only Clouds to be satisfactory.

 

BTW, besides cloud scenes, sunset personas work pretty well,for making the toolbar names legible.
