Installed Firefox 22.0 and It disables Norton 360 vulnerability protection and the text in Firefox is not too large. Do I need Norton 360 vulnerability protection? And, is there a way to fix the text size? Thanks.

Should read that the text is now too large.

Hi, have you had a look in FF Help?
There are listed known issues and fixes. Neil.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I looked in FF help and the part about the text being too large has a fix that still does not return my text size to what it was before the upgrade. As far as the incompatibility with Norton 360 there apparently is still no fix as I get the same message that it turns off my Vulnerability extension. Does anyone out there have the same problem and what is the fix. Thanks.

have reverted back to FF 21.0. As of today Norton has not fixed the problem and the Mozilla suggestions to fix the size do not really work for my monitor.

    Marv ...

Have you tried changing your font sizes in Tools > Options > Content > Fonts & Colors > Advanced? The settings you choose there can make a significant difference in the way text appears on web pages.

Thanks for the replies. While both options help some the view is not the same as it was in Firefox 21.0, which was much better. My windows dpi is set at 120, not 96 because everything is too small with 96 on my 22 inch screen. Now everytime I look at a webpage using FF 22.0, everything has to be adjusted as everything is too large on the web pages and too small on the headers. Firefox made a big mistake and does not want to admit it.

Hmmm, I didn't notice any change in the appearance of web pages after upgrading from FF 21.0 to 22.0, but I don't use the "out-of-the-box" FF UI.

Thanks Jim, yours looks just like it did in 21.0. I believe that that the problem is with my windows dpi setting of 120. Using 96 dpi looks good for Firefox 22.0, but then everything else on my desktop and web pages outside of Firefox are then too small. I do not have this problem on my laptop because the dpi is set to 96.

I use a custom setting of 115 dpi (64-bit Win7 Pro), and adjust web pages, etc. as necessary. My FF font settings are all size 14, and I don't allow web pages to choose their own fonts. I'm sure there are those who will say "What the heck? How can you use Arial as a Serif and Monospace font? ", but these settings have always worked for me.

Thanks Jim. Will try the FF font setting of 14, I am currently using 16, which should be smaller than 14??? I use 120(Windows Vista Home Premium), which is the alt to 96.

Never had a problem with FF or TB allowing Update as and when they come. XP & Vista still work OK. Neil.

No, the smaller the number, the smaller the font size.
