    Someone is telling me if you download 1.5 RC1 you get 1.5 final.

    No. 1.5rc1 will be 1.5rc2, probably tomorrow. And, then depending on performance, etc. it will be final, or we may need a rc3.
    At the the end, there may be no difference, but rc=release candidate.
