Has anyone used or have any comment regarding the DEFCON Fingerprint Authenticator with USB Hub.

Instead of using passwords on your computer it is able to read your fingerprint.

Nothing about that company in particular but the technology they should be using for that is good and is proven.

One suggestion if you order from them is to make sure they do not charge you VAT (value added tax). Around 17% I think and if you order from and have it shipped to the US you do not have to pay the tax.

Some companies automatically remove it before working up your cost - their order software may even do it when they see a US ship-to address.

Other companies will subtract it if you ask. I've always wondered what they do when they charge you VAT but it isn't owed so they don't have to pass it along to their government.

Some will simply say they have to charge you VAT (they don't) and I refuse to do business with any of those.
