After an impressive display of "driver dementia" and my computer's subsequent (and flawless) impression of an inanimate object, it's time for me to build a new install disc.

My usual process is to run an old one through the hotfix slipstreamer from smithii.com and nLite away the cruft, but I've run into a snag this time. The only disc I currently have is the OEM disc which came with the system and it's so heavily modified (including the driver which originally caused this mess) that nLite pitches a fit when I load it up.

Now, beacuse it's an OEM disc (and, as I understand it, I have an OEM product key), I can't get a replacement from Microsoft and the OEM has already said they can't supply me with an unmodified disc. Any suggestions as to where I might be able to get my hands on a clean OEM install disc or ISO?

Unless I'm looking in the wrong place, they don't appear to offer the media without a license. And if I'm going to have to purchase an entirely new copy of Windows to fix this, I may as well upgrade to Vista. :-/
