Some time ago, there was downloaded on my XP a video or movie, which I happened to locate yesterday by using "search ". When the icon for this video shows up there is no file or anything identifiable, except the name, for locating it. When I click on it for deletion, the computer freezes and the timer hangs, and I only can get out of it by ctrl/alt/delete. I would like to delete it because of these actions, but I don't where else to look to find the file. I have no file of "My Videos," or anything in documents. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Bobboy185,

Any of these past posts on the topic of How to delete the undeletable help?

also check folder file properties for proper or recommended view settings:
Before searching for a file or folder, make sure these folder option view settings are in place:
*Go to My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View tab
*Under the Hidden files and folders heading:
*Select Show hidden files and folders.
*Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
*Also, make sure there is no check mark beside Hide file extensions for known file types.
    * Click OK. (Remember to Hide files and folders once done)

Need a better search tool: Goodies often recommended on this board.
Loved a better search utility called Agent Ransack:
    agent ransack

BUT I have recently found another which I really like, even more than Agent Ransack. It has less bells and whistles but it is lightning fast:
    It's called "Search Everything ":

goddez1 - you live up to your name. That program is super fast. I have one other problem (wish that items could be more compatible with each other). I have some videos (home made, not commercial, etc.) in my Rhapsody player on computer. They don't play (originally did) and I would like to get them out of there (put them on a DVD or another player or whatever). Tech support from them offers no help at all. There are no other copies elsewhere in my computer. They won't drag and drop; won't copy, etc. So I can't play them, can't transfer them. Rhapsody is not interested in video, just music. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help on the other.

    Hi again bobboyd185,

I am glad to see your original problem is fixed and you found my fav goodie useful. Thank you for the update on that.

As for the Rhapsody Player problem, unfortunately I know nothing about this player and am unfamiliar with how it works, I do ,however find that your problem makes no sense. It is just a player and plays what you you tell it to. The files you seek should be on your harddrive somewhere if they are ones you have made yourself. Opening these in another player, that can play these, should be able to be done. Where are they on your harddrive and what extension are they?

On further research, I see this player will play videos. Store file online. Suppose to have drag and drop and burn capabilities. Perhaps the player software its self is having issues and should be looked at.

Have not looked through these topics that involve Rhapsody Player problems and quests that had been previously posted on our board but you may wish to. Perhaps something in one of these will be useful:

    goddez1,

Well, I managed to solve my problem in which a video somehow became infected, and the rest have mellowed out. Also updated the program. Thanks for the advice and counsel. I am sure I will be asking something again. I appreciate all the help I have been given in the past.
