I just loaded windows XP, thinking OE was similiar to other email accts.(yahoo etc...) thinking my emails would be there after I set my acct. back up. My email is an earthlink.net, email is operating but where do I look to find my emails and how do I bring them up to save on disc or print out? Or am I doomed?

rmvtrebor--I do not know if installing WinXP wipes out your previous OutlookExpress files or not. What you are basically looking for are .dbx, .idx, .mbx and .wab files. If you have those, check the dates of creation (right click|Properties) of one or two. If they seem the right dates for your old files (and have more than 137KB of content in them), then try to import them into your new WinXP setup.

    P.S. These files are in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express and C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
