    There are ways to get back some control over what we see and search for.
    For example, if you have a google or yahoo account, you can sign in and adjust the search settings, i.e. turn of Safe Search and other adjustments.

    Also, even if don't have a google account, you can do what I do and turn off that "stupid auto complete." This is the google function that auto displays search results as you type. To get rid of it, use this URL:

    (complete = 0 means no auto complete and hl=en means human language is English)

    Yea, you can do some things to avoid those 'traps', but still you're not going to get 'uninfluenced' results.
