Resolved Files waiting to be copied to disk

As my computer is booting the desk top show a brief message above the toolbar that says "files waiting to be copied to disk" . It doesn't give me enough time to click on the spot on the toolbar to take any action. I do not know of any files to be copied and I can't figure out for the life of me how to stop this message. Previously I wanted to copy some files to disk but there wasn't enough room on the disk so I cancelled, selected fewer files then went ahead and copied the lesser files successfully. Need some advice.
