Files take more than two minutes to open

    When I double click on a data file, eg. word or excel or a hyperlink from an e-mail, it takes two minutes or sometimes more before the file or hyperlink opens. If I open the software and then go to File and open then no probs. Is this spyware? or something else? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the board. Sounds like an infected computer to me. Suggest you post a hijackthis log in the spyware removal forum after reading this.
