file search error

i cant seem to complete a SEARCH request through the start>search>files or folders. everytime i run it halfway through it will prompt me with an error and has log.

advice anyone?

I just posted on a new thread, Eric, however this system is doing very close to what realix is referring to as his problem. I see NO error, however. The system simply goes into a stall until I bring up the task manager (nothing listed within the dialog box as running or not responding) and close it again.

Is there some registry entry that can be checked?
