    here is the scenario:

Two SONY VAIO wireless Laptops running on XP PRO SP2
PC1: FE28GP, is with built in Intel card,
PC2: IS BELKIN true mimmo airgo pcmcia.
    Linksys router/gateway WRT300N V2

I am having big problems with file & Printer sharing, initially I could not even ping each other, that was resolved by upgrading router firmware!

uninstalled all internet security on both PCs & Switched off Windows Firewall on both too.

I can however access the internet form both PCs no problem!

When I net view from PC 1, I get "system error 6118 has occurred"
when I net view from PC 2, I can see the shared areas of PC1, and when I net view \\fe28gp, I get system error 53

I have Updated the two wireless drivers to no avail!!!
tried numerous changes to no success, please please some one help!!

    Cheers

Try setting up with the program Network Magic.
I had a case where with 2 xp home computers joined with a router the network or network printer would not set up.
Network Magic set up the network and as well set up the network printer even without loading the printer driver software on computer number 2.
It is a 30 day trial with file and printer sharing.
After that it reverts to a basic program without the file and printer sharing set up but still with a visible network.

Yes of course you have to pay.

Network Magic does nothing you cannot do yourself.

First, get those firewalls back in place and properly configured for Windows file and printer sharing. It is just insanity to have active internet connections and no firewall in place.

Second, when your trial for Network Magic expires, either purchase the software or uninstall it on all machines.

Depending on your choice, we can get your network running without "Magic" being necessary.
