need help, when I hold mouse over a file or a click-able web link I get a blank page symbol under the mouse pointer instead of the name of the link. As an example when I place the mouse on one of the smilies to the right I just see a blank "page" instead of the smiley description. How do I fix this?

    Hello Huskerrob,

Just a guess but when you customize your display properties via a desktop>right click>properties and choose advanced, from the arrow drop down will be a category named "tooltip" if you have chosen a font color, "white ", in this case, this will end up giving the result effect you see now. If this is the case just change the tooltip color back to black.

    tooltip font color

It may actually be bit more complicated than this if you have been customizing/experimenting with various settings that effect the text and color choices either in vista display options or your browsers but at least the above is a place to start.
