I have a number of news RSS items in this toolbar. Now (since I went to 3.5) when I click on an item (like BBC) and drop the cursor down to the individual items, FF displays a separate window showing the title of the item and the URL to the page containing the news item. I find this "extra" window very annoying.

Is there a way to prevent this "extra" window from displaying? I do not recall FF doing this before.

Are the RSS under Latest Headlines? Is it a window or a tab? I do not have a separate window as I open the RSs. Everything opens in the same Tab.
    Check you Tools|Options|Tab settings.
Not knowing how you got to 3.5.1, and what type of profile you have, I am not going to guess.
