Feb. MS Windows Updates & Sound Card

Anyone have problems with any of the most recent Windows updates of Feb., 2007:

KB928843
KB927779
KB932135
KB926436
KB924667
KB918118
?

I have someone's HP that's having issues with the sound card ever since these updates were issued. When the updates are rolled back, the sound card starts working again, but MS automatically updates (even though they have the setting for auto updates turned off!). Anyone with a similar experience, or have an idea? Haven't received model/sound card info yet...just getting this question out early in case someone's heard of it -- can't find any documentation on it...

How are these updates being rolled back?

They should be uninstalled one at a time - see if that is culprit, then the next.

If you're using System Restore, it should be to a point prior to the patches being on the system. That means Feb 10 - 11th.
