FDD/IDE <-> SATA cable?

    hi,

    any suggest I want to still keep used my FDD/IDE-HDD,
    I known FDD is it out-of-date?


    any idea is it avaible FDD/IDE<->SATA cable?

    any advice please!

    Not mine ... :p ... and I've got one spare in a drawer. I use it regularly to run Ghost 2003 imaging software ... :cool: ... from DOS!

    It is important to note the floppy interface (cable and connector too) is different from IDE. So you are talking 3 different interfaces.

    While IDE (PATA) drives are still around, they too are phasing out. You have to be careful you don't drag down or bottleneck your new hardware just so you can keep using your old "legacy" stuff. Most long time enthusiasts have closets, drawers, and shelves full of perfectly good, but obsolete device. That's just the price of advancing technologies.

    If you are building a new machine, I recommend looking ahead, and not back.

    See floppy to SATA adapter and IDE to SATA adaptor.

    Just like my old, cherished, chrome Bugatti crank handle is no longer needed on my new Bugatti Veyron.
