FAX Stuck in Pending Status

    I've found dozens of complains about FAXes getting stuck in pending status (Windows Fax & Scan). However, I have not been able to find any one of them that has a solution. The FAX will stay in pending status until I restart the machine, then it will send the FAX. Does anyone have a definitive fix for this problem? TIA.

    How many faxes do you send in a week an do they all get stuck?

    I send very few faxes. Maybe one every month or 2. Yes they get stuck every time.

    Try to open the Windows Fax and Scan with Administrator privileges.

    To do so, you need to follow the steps mentioned below –


    a) Click on “Start” and type “Windows Fax and Scan” (without quotations).
    b) Now Right Click on the “Windows Fax and Scan” icon and select “Run as administrator”.
    c) Try to connect the Windows Fax and Scan.
