Fax Program For XP Pro SP1/SP2??

My problem is this: I have a Compaq notebook which came with a Windows XP Pro SP1 installation disk

XP Pro is automatically up dated and is now using SP 2

I want to install a fax program that will allow my notebook to send and receive faxes.

I have tried using control panel > printer & faxes >, but because I can't make up an SP2 disk slipstreaming my XP Pro SPI disk (because it's a Compaq installation disk) I can't install the Windows fax facility.

Is there program I can download that will allow my notebook to send and receive faxes?

In the bad old days when I was on a dial up Internet connection it was easy to find a suitable download, but now I'm on broadband I can't seem to find one.
