When I open Fax Console (Windows XP) I see a list of the faxes I have sent.

If I select one and click the 'View' icon a Notepad window opens full of what appears to be code, the filename being given in the header as a .tif file, for instance <MSFaxConsoleTempPreview-#00000568a5d91e0f.tif > i.e the system appears to be trying to open a .tif file using Notepad.

I then immediately get a box opening with the message, "The operation cannot be completed" and if I click 'Details' it adds, "The system cannot find the file specified. (2, 2200001366) "

I've tried searching for the location of the given file name but with no success. I presume they are not stored as individual files.

I've tried saving the file to a known location, using 'Save as' in the Notepad window, then opening it in a graphics program, but all I get is a message saying 'not a valid graphics file' (or words to that effect).

Is there any significance in the message, "The system cannot find the file specified. (2, 2200001366) "?

I thought I had! I used Thread Tools as described and it says "[Resolved] " in the line above my original post.
