Favorites not showing all - only a selection

I somehow changed my Favorites Folder. I used to be able to see all bookmarks at once, now I have arrows that I have to click on to expand the menu, and it's highlighted at spots too. I've been trying to back track and fix it, but I can't seem to figure out what I did to change it. Could somebody please kindly help with this problem?

That box isn't checked under the advanced settings Arie. Does anybody have any other ideas as to how to fix this?

I think Arie put you in the correct section. The 'personalized' thing is the usual cuplrit but there are other possibilities. "Close unused folders ..." is one and you can probably spot others.

I'd suggest you just toggle any that look like they could affect the behavior and see which one finally sets things back the way you want them.

 

I removed the check mark from "Close unused folders in History and Favorites" and that seems to have done it. Thanks you both for leading me in the right direction,
