    Have a look at this:
    cor-el
    cor-el -1

    Can you attach a screenshot showing that message?

    Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

    See:

    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser_will_not_start_up

    A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

    What version of Firefox are you using? Neil.

    I'll consider this thread ended.

    FYI, Firefox 4 has been updated to beta 11. And, in case you don't know, the use of a beta version, to the exclusion of a final version, is not recommended, because it may have "bugs" not found in a final version. But, my beta versions have been working fine.

    I've never had a problem with a Firefox beta either.
