Fatal Error 800b0003 !!

Hey guys,
I ran into a problem while installing Win2k SP3 on a computer at work. When the computer rebooted, it asked for the win2k disk, then it went into setup. It stopped and gave me an error message 800b0003. On the log, it stated something about an invalid product catalog. Normally I would just reformat the whole computer, but the person that's using it had his email downloaded to that computer. Unless there's a way for me to get his email out safely using the DOS prompt I'd do it.
Please help me out on this one. Thank you very much.

 

Are you using Microsoft Commerce Server for doing web things? That's about the only place I can think of you'd see a "product catalog" error.

Will the PC boot to safe mode? How about to the recover console booting from the CD?

NTFS or FAT file system?

And what email is he/she using?
