Fasterfox extension question

WinXP, Home, SP2, Firefox 1.5.0.3, Fasterfox 1.0.3

Anyone using Fasterfox extension notice that the "Clear Private Data" does
not always clear the cache? Wether i run the clear function within firefox
or upon closing firefox, sometimes it works and sometimes not.

I find that the only way to insure the cache is cleaned is to go and look at
the local settings folder.

Suggestions?

There are also archives full of information, that may help. I personally don't use the Extension, so not much help.

 

It worked for me when I used the Clear Cache of the Prefbar, but I have noticed the same situation as you describe if I rely on Clear Private Data. I had noticed a lot of stuff from both 1.5.0.3 and 1.0.8 left when I did not use the Prefbar.
I am removing Fasterfox, just to see if it is the culprit.

Done, and it is not Fasterfox, but, rather my fault. At one time I must have unchecked the Clear my data box. I had the folder open, without Fasterfox, and, then, with Fasterfox, and, everything, except for the four basic files was removed on exit.

 

True but prefbar is no compatable with FF1.5.0.3

I installed Prefbar3.3, released only a month ago . It works in Seamonkey1.0.1 and Firefox1.5.0.3.
But, I did a double check, and the Cache was emptied even with Fasterfox, just using the Clear Private Data controls.

I'll try the prefbar 3.3.

Using fasterfox, it will work sometimes but not every time or so i noticed.
