On sites like Ebay for example, I cannot view all the graphical content. For instance, I don't see certain clickable option boxes and I can't see the "+" and "-" symbols next to positive and negative feedback comments. Can anyone please tell me how so get all the viewable content to show on through Firefox?

You may have heard that some websites are not compatible with Firefox, and similar programs. Most websites see if the pages are compatible with IE, and Firefox. I have heard a lot of complaints about eBay, although I don't use the site. My suggestion is to try the IE Tab add-on . Make sure that you get the version appropriate with your Firefox version. When you use it the pages are read as if they are opened in IE.

I installed the IE add-on but it still is not showing the content. I had high hopes because I can see all the graphics of Ebay through IE. Are there maybe some settings I need to tweak with that add-on that would help?

    Welcome to the Forum, Cbuddy!

    Cbuddy,

In Tools | Options | Content
Click on the "Exceptions" tab to the right of: "Load images automatically "

    Add these three URL's:
    ebay.com
    ebayimg.com
    ebaystatic.com
    thumbs.ebaystatic.com

Ensure that you click the Allow tab after each addition.

You really shouldn't have to allow these exceptions if "Load images automatically" is enabled.

Let us know if this helps.

Ok I added added those four and put them on "Allow" but nothing changed. What I did discover, however, is that there are three other entries that are blocked: banners.ebay.com, pics.ebaystatic.com, and www.newport-news.com(not sure how that one got on the list)

I tried to set them on allow, but it keeps resetting them back to block. This must be my problem. How can I get it to allow them?

    Cbuddy,

Make a note of the sites you want to allow
    Delete the sites, close Firefox
Open Firefox, and add those sites again, this time selecting "Allow "

    Again, close and reopen Firefox
    Are the correct settings retained?

Ahh..... .YES! That was simple enough and it now shows the missing content I was needing. Thanks. For all those having the same problem with Ebay, here are the sites/entries that I set to allow:

    ebay.com
    ebayimg.com
    pics.ebaystatic.com
    thumbs.ebaystatic.com

    Cbuddy,

Glad to hear that you can view those images now! :)
