I am trying to install Office XP Update KB947320 with no success. It downloads just fine, but will not install. I have tried to download it using Microsoft's Update page and have tried downloading it to the desktop, then running it.

Please let me know your thoughts regarding this matter.

    Very Respectfully,

    Kurt.

    Neil,

Thanks. I have tried the information listed on the link prior to posting with no success. The only thing I did differently was I downloaded the file to the desktop, then opened it vs using windows explorer to open the downloaded file. I will try using windows explorer to determine if it allows the install to complete.

    Thanks again.

    Kurt.

I get a OFFICE HOTFIX INSTALLER error, regardless of whether I click directly on the icon on the desktop or if I go through Windows Explorer.

I think I will go to Microsoft.com and search for Office Hotfix Installer issues within Windows XP or with Office XP.

    Kurt.

Look in the add/remove programs and see if it is listed there. Could have been a bad download on the first go around. If it is, remove it and try again.

Hi Kurt, What MS Office are you running? 2002 or 2003. Neil.
