failed updating ie 7 in winxp

i m facing problem to update ie 7 in windows xp home edition
i just bought winxp home original cd n after installation then i was doing updating n updating was in process i was getting late n it's late night so i shutdown the windows it ask me shutdown windows without update windows files then i yes n shutdown next day i try to update windows again next day i go microsoft windows update it shows my windows is up to date then i check windows update history there is few windows update failed i try to update ie7 go to setup n ask to proceed to validate ie explore appears n it says the there is techincal error contact your local distrubator bala n also showing error code
my windows is already activated n i check in windows xp home sp2(oem version) validate tool it's geniune but now i can't update ie 7 i check there is folder internet exploere 7 in c drive but it's not completed it cause bcs i shutdown windows without finishing update so plz solve me how can i update ie 7

Update problem

try the following to get update working

re-register the following files:
regsvr32 msscript.ocx
regsvr32 dispex.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll

1. Click "Start," and then click "Run. "
2. Type regsvr32 msscript.ocx in the "Open" box and click "OK. "
3. Repeat for dispex.dll,vbscript.dll, and scrrun.dll.

Next, make sure file (open) type .JS is properly associated:
1. In Control Panel, click "Folder Options," and then click "File Types. "
2. Locate the .JS extension and click "Advanced. "
3. Make sure the "Application to perform action" field contains: C:\WINDOWS\System32\WScript.exe "%1" %* This is for a Windows XP computer.
