I have been using windows vista and have decided to install XP on a partition.
I don't know if this is Vista's problem, My XP disk problem, or my computers problem but when I installed XP 2 files failed to copy, and when I rebooted my to load ntcomputer it said "failed ntldr ". I have not told it which OS to boot yet, but every time I try to boot up my computer I get the same problem. Even after I uninstalled XP and just left Vista on there it said the same thing. I have tried reinstalling XP but it fails to copy the same 2 files. There are no scratches on the disk and my computer did not come with a vista disk. Please help me I'm so confused and I can't access anything.

    Hi Kurizu,

You should have a recovery disc from the OEM. If not, at least instructions on how to recover from a Recovery partition installed by them. This would get you back to square one. Otherwise you're going to have to purchase Vista and re install it.

What's the computer brand? HP - Dell, other?

    Regards - Charles
