Windows Vista [F-secure detects mswinsck.ocx as infected?]

My anti-virus just popped up a message that "malicious code was found in file C:\WINDOWS\system32\mswinsck.ocx" the file has been renamed.

Vista OS with all MS updates current. What is this file and should I be concerned? Should I add it to the exclusion list in my security? How or what caused it to all of a sudden have malicious code? For the time being it has been renamed to mswinsck.0cx by my virus software. I have googled and haven't found anything that suggested that it might be a trojan/virus. I did see some reference to it being associated with Visual +C.

The popup from F-Secure also say "Infection: Backdoor.Win32.VB.fnl ... Action: failed" .......HUMMMM VB stand for Visual Basic???

This happened after I updated Yahoo Messenger and rebooted my computer.

Any explanation?? Leave renamed, exclude.....????

Strange that it says it has been corrected and mine updates daily, why does it still detect it? As matter of fact my database has updated several times today but yet I still get this message.

Sorry about the wrong subject, didn't think it would take the whole description, thanks for correcting that for me. I googled for f-secure MSWINSCK.OCX and came up with nothing.

I still get the warning and the last update my antivirus did was at 2:50am today, so I have to add it to the exclusions list in order to change the extension back to .ocx

My F-Secure Security Suite is through Embarq as part of their DSL service, is it possible that I am not getting full updated protection?
