    Hi

I need to write PHP code to extract specific information from emails. Reading from Thunderbird is real easy because its stored in plain text format but how do I read from dbx files ? Any idea frmo where I can get the format ?

    Thanks

I doubt that MS has released that code publicly, but if you were able to see the code of one of the extract programs it might be helpful.

This is way outside my experience - I do not program :)
I found this on Google ....

    Thanks for the link.
I did find some at wotsit.org and one mentioned at http://oedbx.aroh.de/index.html but I guess its not all that simple to decode it.

    Hello,
I'm working on the dbx format. I'm trying to build one myself. I have seen this website : http://oedbx.aroh.de/index.html , and I think there are some good informations, but it's now easy to do. If you want, we can share our informations, to make easier this search of information.
    Thank you!
    :) :) :)

    I'm using java !
I think that the dbx format explanations are better in http://oedbx.aroh.de/index.html than in wotsit, but each information is important!
I continue to search, helped by http://oedbx.aroh.de/index.html and a .dbx file, and i'm going to search after source code of thunderbird.
    good luck too !
