I have 2 gig of ram PC 400 3200, 1 gig sticks. I have two more slots. I bought one stick of the same ram. My computer won't start if I put it in one of the two slots. My motherboard book says the sets have to be the same; I assume that means I have to buy another gig and make it an even 4 gig, then?

    Thanks.

I GUESS you need another stick, but 'set' may mean Dual Channel Kit: see this example in which case you'd better return the single stick and purchase a kit. You can get 1GB in a kit of 2 512MB sticks.
