Windows 2000 Advanced server w/ IIS
    Windows 2000 Advanced server w/ Exchange 2000

How do I give permissions for a web site on the IIS to send external email. the web master says it is an exchange setting.

I have not worked much with web sites and am unsure.

    Thanks

I should also state, internal email from the web site work. IT is just the external that doesn't work.

I have a remote domain under smtp that has the mail server ip address.

Is there anything that I have to set on the mail server to all the web server to send external email?

Sue, forgive me if I'm misunderstanding here but I'm trying to clairify what you want to do.
Are you trying to configure Exchange to handle external mail?
As in POP3 connector to **** down mail from ISP?
I don't quite follow where the web site plays into this unless your talking about your clients getting to their exchange mail boxes from the web.
If I'm way off base just tell me to shutup. :D :D :D

the exchange server handles external email. What the web master wants... our website has people register for an account, the web master want to generate a confirmation email to that person. For some reason that won't work. It the registration is local (inside the domain) it works. But if it is off campus it doesn't.

    Does that help?
