tRYING TO EXPORT ADDRESS CONTACTS FROM XP TO VISTA. When going through the Wizard, get to the place where I choose Comma specific values. Not sure if I should choose CSV DOS or CSV Windows? But with both, it tries to install Windows Translator and then asks me to insert the disc for Windows XP Professional. I don't have the disc so what do I do?

    Thanks.

Course it would help if you mentioned which application/addressbook you are wanting to export...

But, if its Outlook Express's addressbook for example-> Find the *.wab file and copy it to the Vista machine...Then do the Import part. (no real need to do the export part)

CSV Windows will work. Sounds like you are using Office Outlook. You will be able to import CSV DOS or CSV Windows into Outlook on Vista IF IF the Office Importers are installed. They are not installed by default. The Office setup program is by default configured to install those filters on first use. (I always do custom Office installs and load all that will be needed right from the start) You will need your Office DVD unless the install files were left on the hard drive by the Office installer.
