Explorer hangs when opening xls or doc

    Hi

    I'm running WXP SP1 and Office SP2.
    When i open a .doc or .xls from explorer, explorer stops responing.
    I have same when i just right-click .xls or .doc

    After around 5 min, everything is up an running again

    I deletet the temp folders and deactivatet TrendMicro, but didn't help

    What could i do?

    Does it work ok if you open excel first then do file open?

    yes, without any problems

    bit i found out, i had to delete the normal.dot
