Explorer Folder List Disappeared

    Hi,

    I have a friend who has Windows XP. For some reason the "Explorer Folder List" disappeared (this is the vertical "bar" on the left side of the window when you go into "My Computer" or "My Documents "....I think that is what it is called).

    Can someone tell me how she can get that bar back?

    Hi Jeff

    Try this, open My Computer or My Documents.
    At the top click Tools then Folder Options.
    Under the General tab make sure there is
    a dot beside "Show common tasks in folders "
    If not put a dot beside it and click Apply & OK
