    Hi, still having the problem with explorer.exe crashing when I click on certain mp3s. The following is the debugger text file made from the drwtsn user.dmp file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    uninstall or update the software that gives you mpeg2dmx.dll

    quick google looks like its Elecard Mpeg 2 software package

    Thank you, Joe. I wonder if that mpeg2 would have been included in a codec pack. I'll search for it, and see if I can uninstall it. Thank you very much.

    Just to post a resolution: I renamed the offending codec to .old, and no more crashes of explorer.exe! To anyone having problems with explorer.exe crashing when clicking on a media file, I suggest that it probably has something to do with a particular codec on your computer.
