    I'm trying to do direct cable connection with Windows XP. When I
    create new connection as follows:

    start->control panel->network and internet connections->create a new
    conection->set up an advanced connection->connect directly to another
    computer->host,

    after completing the process, when i would right-click on the Incoming
    connections icon, select Properties, and then tab Users, Explorer.exe
    will crash. It has something to do with "mprapi.dll ", but I forgot the
    error numbers (0x??). on the other machine it works properly. why does
    it crash?

    thanks in advance

    Are you using a crossover cable?
