    Okay, here's the deal...
Whenever my computer starts up, one of 2 things always happen.
    1. The wallpaper is displayed, but none of the icons and the task bar ever appear.
    2. The wallpaper is displayed and the icons and the task bar appear, but then disappear, then reappear, then disappear... over and over again.

I've tried to do a system restore, which didn't help. I've installed more RAM, because i needed to anyways, but that didn't help. I've ran Norton anit-virus, and didn't help.

I took it to Best Buy and they wanted $140 to fix it stating that my windows explorer is crashing and "Needs ADR ".

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

mattlikescheese - Welcome to the Board :)

First step run the Task bar Repair tool

If that fails to resolve the problem I suggest you read this and post the appropriate logs.
