Ihave WXP with SP2 fully updated.

I've captured video in avi format. If the file is more than about 1Gb (and less than 2Gb) Explorer crashes as soon as I try to open the folder containing the file.

The file can be loaded and functions perfectly well in Media player (Windows or Classic), and can be moved to another (new) folder via the "Open" menu. But attempting to open the new folder crashes it again. It can also be moved to the recyle bin, but on trying to reinstate it the recycle bin crashes.

Would be grateful for any advice

Explorer has now crashed with a small avi file (112Mb). Avi files have been captured by several different programs)

Explorer doesn't seem to like some AVI files?!

    Help please
