I was suspicious about installing Zugo because I had read in a couple different places that it contained AdWare.Zugo malware/spyware within the Bing toolbar from MS. I checked up on it myself and visited the site. It seemed legit, so I downloaded the toolbar. I have not had any problems with it at all; not one bit of malware or spyware. I used to be an advocate of Chrome, but have since switched back to IE. No problems here. Don't know how other users are experiencing this. If you see their Best Practices (http://zugo.com/best-practices/), it's pretty self-explanatory.

Zugo slows down browsing and modifies the results when you do a Web search. It also monitors your Web browsing habits, collects this info and sends it back to Zugo. That info is shared with marketing companies and advertisers. You will likely see an increase in spam as a result too.

Go to this page: Zugo Privacy Policy and start reading at this section: Information Collected Through the Toolbar.

Best to get rid of this software.

Thank you for the info, Tony, but I'm just not seeing any problems.

After reading what you said, I was a bit concerned, so I did a little experiment. I did a test search in Firefox for "social media" with the toolbar still installed and took a screenshot of the results. You can see it here: screenshot with Zugo. Then I uninstalled the toolbar and did the same search; as you can see, the same exact search results came up in the same amount of time: screenshot without Zugo.

I also did not see any increase in spam or anything like that while it was installed. But again, I thank you for your response and for the information.

You won't see any difference using Google. Google is not a Zugo partner.
