    hello,
i was reading where u should expand the size of the MFT so it does not fragment. The key I read was NtfsMftZoneReservation in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\CurrentControlSet\Control\Filesystem. I didnot find the key in this hive so i added it as a REG_DWORD and made the value a 2. i rebooted but the percent in use stayed the same @ 92%. Has anybody used this tweak and been successful? Is it worth it?

thanx. very interesting. i did a fsutil on the mftzone and it came back as a 2 so i guess the tweak works. i just found it strange the % in use didnt change. but it seems as if the MFT itself isnt enlarged just this "zone" that i guess gives MFT room to grow???
