Hi, I have set up an Exchange Server 2007 named win-server-2008.edwinpong.info on Windows sever 2008 and can send and receive internal mail successfully. And I can send out external mail but cannot receive external mail. The following error logs provided by ISP show an email sent from 88121099@alumni.cityu.edu.hk to
    administrator@edwinpong.info :

I have used Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer to verify an email account on the exchanger server and found the MX record was correctly pointed to the server.

What I have done but still cannot receive external mails:
    1) telnet my exchange server at port 25 successfully.
    2) opened port 25 at router to allow access to my server.
    3) closed firewall and anti-virus.
    4) receive SMTP connector listens to 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
    5) uncheck all secure certification at receive SMTP connector to receive external mails but still unsuccess.
    6) used portqry to verify the server at port 25 successfully.
    7) Also I have found the error logs on message tracking, receiveSMTP and sendSMTP, but there were nothing.

    My conclusion:
External mails are successfully sent to my exchange server but can't establish SMTP connection due to some unknown reasons. To make it simple, I just set up send SMTP connector at the exchange server and receive SMTP connector was set by default. So I think it is correct setting. Also I can't find any internal logs at the Exchange Server and event viewer. So I don't have any information or idea to resolve this problem. Also I have tried to install the server in Windows Server 2003 but got the same result.

    Could any body help me!!

No SMTP is listening on port 25, or it is blocked by a firewall:
